We had a wonderful experience at Cheese and Friends in Nantes this July! As a couple, we were looking for a cozy, casual spot to enjoy some local cheese and a good bottle of wine – and this place absolutely delivered. The local cheese board was a highlight, featuring a delightful selection that truly showcased the flavors of the region. We loved the creamy, herb-infused Mothais on Leaf, the rich and slightly tangy Tomme de Couëron, and the smooth, earthy Tomme Ste Catherine. The Priest of Nantes was a standout as well, with its unique, velvety texture and mild, savory taste.
Paired with a lovely bottle of local Pinot Gris, it was the perfect combination for a relaxed and indulgent evening. The atmosphere at Cheese and Friends is warm and welcoming, with an evident passion for all things cheese. It’s clear that the owners put their hearts into curating the best local cheeses, making every bite a treat.
Whether you’re enjoying a quiet evening as a couple or gearing up for a fun night with friends, Cheese and Friends offers the ideal setting for both. Plus, with the option to take away a cheese platter, you can bring the experience home! If you’re ever in Nantes, this charming spot is an absolute must for cheese lovers.
